Worker-communist Party of Iran Abroad – UK branch is calling all Trade unions and labour organisations, human rights bodies and the public to support and join the international solidarity with imprisoned Iranian Labour activist Reza Shahabi and Behnam Ebrahimzaden.

Reza Shabi is a member of the Executive Committee of Tehran Vahed Bus Company Workers’ Union has been on hunger strike since June 1st in protest to his being transferred to the notorious Rejai-Shahr prison to prevent him from receiving medical treatment.

Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, a leading workers’ right activist who was kept in solitary confinement until June 29 was allowed to meet his family and immediately on the same night, the intelligence services of the Islamic regime of Iran raided his home and interrogated his 15 year old son Nima, who suffers from leukemia and has been under treatment.

To protest against the Islamic regime of Iran which is imposing life-threatening conditions on Reza Shahabi and Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, we are supporting the international day on Saturday 12 July 2014 in solidarity with Reza Shahabi and Behnam Ebrahimzadeh and demand immediate release of these two and other jailed workers who have committed no wrong but defending workers right!

  1. I wonder if there are any governments/regimes that don’t attack those who seek to depose them?
    (Not that I am not supporting this campaign in any way.)
